Last changed June 17, 2009 Below are our punch needle embroidery patterns. They should be available at your local embroidery or needlecraft shop. If you are unable to find them locally, you may order them directly from us. All are $14 plus shipping except Bill's Buddies, which is $29 plus shipping. We do not stock the other items you'll need, so please patronize your local shop if you can! The images shown below are in "Thumbnail" format. * * * * * * * Our neighbor Kathy Zimmerman of Kathy's Kreations in Ligonier, Pennsylvania, stocks our punch needle patterns, and also carries the flosses and tools you will need to complete them. She carries some of our smaller rug patterns, too, as well as Oxford rug punch tools, supplies and accessories, and she has a great selection of yarn for you knitters out there! They also teach rug punch. The images below were rug-punched by Tracey Earhart of Kathy's Kreations. They are: Cricket House (7" x 11"), designed by Edyth O'Neill, All Hearts (13" round), designed by Edyth O'Neill, and Cozy Bunny (20" x 21"), designed by Warren Kimble. (Tracey added a sunflower to Cozy Bunny. Our original printed pattern has a crescent moon in the upper corner.) We encourage you to visit Kathy's website! http://www.kathys-kreations.com/ A Woolly GARDEN RUG The Community Rug Punch
Project Saturday July 18th 9:00 am 5:00 pm 12:00
noon Potluck Lunch Downstairs room at Mommy Gear Located behind Kathys
Kreations In ALL proceeds benefit the
Westmoreland County FOOD BANK Some of you know that this
idea has been on my heart for a while.
It has finally all come together. The day is open to all
experienced Rug Punchers*** and Punchettes. Please bring your frame and needles.
The monks cloth and yarn for the project will
be provided. The idea is to have each person,
using a premeasured template, punch a 10
x 10 square. These squares will be put
together into a large rug. Just like we do the
wedding or baby shower rugs. The rug will be on display in the window of Kathys
Kreations store on Mommy
Gear has graciously donated the use of the room.
The room is large and comfortable and has a wonderful kitchen. Please
bring a covered dish, salad, dessert, etc. to share. Please
bring along your own picnic gear- silverware, plates and cups. I will take care of the drinks. The rug is garden themed veggies
fruits - flowers- birds- bees- butterflies etc. I
will have templates available or you can design your own. We
will all use the same color background or border.
The monks cloth will be in 24 x 24 squares. You will need at least a 16 inch interior measurement
frame. I will have extra frames and needles on
hand that day. You may also bring yarn to
share. The 10 x 10 squares are easily done in a day. The goal is to have every square completed on the
18th so I can get them sewn into a large rug and on display in August. The final auction or drawing will be over Labor Day
weekend. Kathys Kreations is also having a non-perishable
Fruit and Veggy food drive, to stay with the theme of
the rug, starting in April and running through
Labor Day. We will be collecting canned, dried
or Juice. You may drop your donation off
during business hours, Mon.-Sat- 9 am -5pm. There is no charge for the Community Rug Punch day or
the supplies, but YOU MUST REGISTER. I
need to have an idea of how many are coming. PLEASE sign up by emailing Tracey Earhart at
