We are pleased to announce the addition of new patterns based on the artwork of Lori Ann Corelis. Lori Ann is the maker of rabbits, bears, and other characters. Our designs are of rug patterns and not three-dimensional pieces. Please visit Lori Ann’s web site, Spotted Hare Designs, at http://web.mac.com/lorianncorelis/Lori_Ann/Welcome.html

 Benjy display.jpg (91669 bytes)

This was the Benjy display at the From Our Hands show in Columbus, Ohio, November 2004. Here you see the hooked rug, original bear and the needle punch in the background. This show is wonderful and for more information for next year's show, contact Kathy Wright at  www.fromourhands.com

Abraham McCann.jpg (44324 bytes) abraham bennett.jpg (65507 bytes) Abraham, 29 x 23, just a wonderful fellow, the one on the left was hooked by Sue McCann, Johnstown, Pennsylvania. Don't you just love his britches? These were Sue's black and white check slacks. The deep teal background and the fun border make this a very special rug. Big thanks to Sue. Also to Lori Ann for these super bears.

Abraham on the right was hooked by Betty Bennett, Ligonier, Pennsylvania. Betty use a super plaid wool for the britches and then repeated it in the border area. This rug is a Christmas gift for her sister. Very lucky sister!

bunny wdc315.jpg (111623 bytes) Baker Bunny, 31 x 24. The simplicity of Lori Ann's art is wonderful and this rug, hooked by Marsha Moyer-Payne of Medford, New York, depicts that simplicity very well. The background is one wool with lots of neat nubby stuff and the border sets the bunny off perfectly.

Benjy SUE.jpg (81995 bytes) Benjy Dea.jpg (176858 bytes) Benjy Bear, 26 x 23, hooked by Sue McCann, Johnstown, Pennsylvania. The wool for the bear was just perfect and I love the design play in the corners along with the blue J in the word Benjy. A big thanks to Sue and to Lori Ann Corelis.

The Benjy Bear on the right was hooked by Dea Olson, Topeka, Kansas. Just a fun rug and a fun bear. Dea hooked this for a grandchild. Lucky grandchild! Thanks Dea.

Christmas Red web size.jpg (90983 bytes) Christmas red reid.jpg (64671 bytes) Christmas Red Sue.jpg (90400 bytes) Ready Teddy.jpg (44055 bytes) Christmas Red, 22 x 25, the first of the rug patterns for Lori Ann Corelis. The rug on the left was hooked by Barb. I love the way he is so simple and elegant. The border is an organized hit 'n' miss. I kept the wools in Christmas Red quiet, which captures the essence of Lori Ann's artwork.

Cheri Reid, Fairfax Station, Virginia, hooked the rug second from the left. She hooked it with me during the Ligonier Rug Camp. I love the way Cheri hooked the pads on his feet and the areas around his nose and eyes. Again, just a great rug.

The rug third from the left is super. I love the background - very wonderful. The order of the border colors is perfect. This rug was hooked by Eileen White, Gambier, Ohio. Eileen is Lori Ann's mom and a super nice lady. Lanna Omlor, Lori Ann's sister, and Eileen were in my "Sheep of Many Coats" class in Columbus. Both treasures.

Susan Jack, Duluth, Georgia, hooked Christmas Red on the right. Susan likes bears that are more true to bear colors, hence the coloration on this one. Her mom calls him "Ready Teddy" because he looks like he is ready for Christmas. I absolutely love her red, white and green hat! Thanks Susan.

Sailor Friends McCann.jpg (112057 bytes) Sailor Friends, 26 x 28. Sue McCann of Johnstown, Pennsylvania, hooked this wonderful rug. Sue is a big fan of Lori Ann's bears and is enjoying doing these rugs. Her rendition of the bunny and bear are perfect. The border echoes the fabulous artwork of Lori Ann.
