Rags (23 x 34)

Hooked by Barb Carroll

A fun rug to hook. I hooked the stars using my “wiggle” strips. Just grabbed them out of the bag. Loved hooking the purple bird and the green dog. The blue eyes are from my friend Deste’s background of one of her rugs. Love friendship wools.

Even though he is a “Heinz 57” dog he thinks he is a pedigree dog with all of the wonderful stars, bird and leaf dancing around him. Notice the way his coat is hooked.

Hooked by Elaine Cathcart of Athens, Tennessee. Is this an unusual color story or what? Almost a Victorian feel. Elaine used a neat wool with tensile woven in it. Quietly sparks the rug.

Hooked by Joanne Henderson of Upperco, Maryland. This is a great rug to hook and play with color – and Joanne’s background behind the cat is super. Such a simple design, but the chance to play with the wools is amazing.

Ellie Bennett of Littlestown, PA hooked this Rosie’s Posies. All I can say is WOW! The texture in the cat is super and the background is just neat. Especially the golden hues which make the background lively and fun. Her border area plays the teals agains the rusts and the darks.

One of my all-time favorite rugs – Gail’s colors are playful and happy- a great border with a wonderful cat letting everyone know who is the “one”. BE sure to enlarge the rug so you can see Gail’s super background around the flowers and cat.

Love Janet’s rug. She hooked a great “bib” on “Rosie”. The softness of the background makes the cat stand out and be counted! Notice her borders – very nifty. Thanks Janet.

Hooked by Debra Inglis of San Augustine, Texas. I love this rug, so many places to play with color. Debra’s “tulip basket” sort of “sparks” up Rosie and then the red tulips are sort of a celebration of fun. Neat rug.
